Adaptive Rehabilitation of Historic Commercial Block
Baystone Development acquired this underperforming property in downtown Arlington, and repositioned and rehabilitated it while maintaining the beautiful brick-and-sandstone façade of the two buildings, which were built in 1900 and 1905.
The 30,000 square feet of The Associates Block today is filled with retail and office tenants. Our sensitive treatment of these two Renaissance Revival style buildings earned us a Massachusetts Historic Commission Preservation Award for the architecturally significant restoration of The Associates Block façade and common areas.
